Extraordinary Personalities reflect upon BHAGAVAD-GITA

Now for the first time Vedic verification of the Supreme Lord Krishna divine incarnations are revealed all together according to Vedic scriptures. Manifesting Himself in the forms of His variegated incarnations, the Supreme Lord appears in the material worlds millennium after millennium to reestablish the principles of righteousness as confirmed in Bhagavad-Gita, chapter four, verse eight. The question may arise from those followers of the worlds religions of Buddhism, Christianity, Hebrewism, Hinduism and Islam as well as those who have studied Lemurian, Atlantean, Sumerian, Mayan and Egyptian schools of thought; why is it that Krishna is positively the Supreme Lord of all? This illustrated compilation of the Supreme Lord Krishna's divine incarnations combined with sincere, diligent study of the Bhagavad- Gita will perfectly answer all spiritual questions as well as illuminate all spiritual directions.

Albert Einstein
When I read the Bhagavad-Gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous.

Mahatma Gandhi
The Bhagavad-Gita calls on humanity to dedicate body, mind and soul to pure duty and not to become mental voluptuaries at the mercy of random desires and undisciplined impulses.

Aurobindo
The Bhagavad-Gita is a true scripture of the human race a living creation rather than a book, with a new message for every age and a new meaning for every civilization.

Carl Jung
The idea that man is like unto an inverted tree seems to have been current in by gone ages. The link with Vedic conceptions is provided by Plato in his Timaeus in which it states..." behold we are not an earthly but a heavenly plant." This correlation can be discerned by what Krishna expresses in chapter 15 of Bhagavad-Gita.

Herman Hesse
The marvel of the Bhagavad-Gita is its truly beautiful revelation of lifes wisdom which enables philosophy to blossom into religion.

Vivekananda
The secret of karma yoga which is to perform actions without any fruitive desires is taught by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad-Gita.

Paramahamsa Yogananda
The Bhagavad-Gita is where God Himself talks to His devotee Arjuna.

Adi Sankara
From a clear knowledge of the Bhagavad-Gita all the goals of human existence become fulfilled. Bhagavad-Gita is the manifest quintessence of all the teachings of the Vedic scriptures.

Aldous Huxley
The Bhagavad-Gita is the most systematic statement of spiritual evolution of endowing value to mankind. It is one of the most clear and comprehensive summaries of perennial philosophy ever revealed; hence its enduring value is subject not only to India but to all of humanity.

Ramanuja
The Bhagavad-Gita was spoken by Lord Krishna to reveal the science of devotion to God which is the essence of all spiritual knowledge. The Supreme Lord Krishnas primary purpose for descending and incarnating is relieve the world of any demoniac and negative, undesirable influences that are opposed to spiritual development, yet simultaneously it is His incomparable intention to be perpetually within reach of all humanity.

Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Srila Prabhupada
The Bhagavad-Gita is not separate from the Vaisnava philosophy and the Srimad Bhagavatam fully reveals the true import of this doctrine which is transmigration of the soul. On perusal of the first chapter of Bhagavad-Gita one may think that they are advised to engage in warfare. When the second chapter has been read it can be clearly understood that knowledge and the soul is the ultimate goal to be attained. On studying the third chapter it is apparent that acts of righteousness are also of high priority. If we continue and patiently take the time to complete the Bhagavad-Gita and try to ascertain the truth of its closing chapter we can see that the ultimate conclusion is to relinquish all the conceptualized ideas of religion which we possess and fully surrender directly unto the Supreme Lor

Baladeva Vidyabhusana

Those that have the qualification to understand the Bhagavad-Gita are of three categories: Those who are inherently reverent, those who are verily righteous and sincere in the performance of their daily scriptural duties and those who are of controlled senses.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Bhagavad-Gita is an empire of thought and in its philosophical teachings Krishna has all the attributes of the full-fledged montheistic deity and at the same time the attributes of the Upanisadic absolute.

“One who does not hate anyone; is friendly and compassionate to all living beings; shares his belongings with others; has no sense of ownership; free from ego; even-minded in both happiness and distress; forgiving; tolerant in all situations; always satisfied; worships me with determination and devotion. Such a person is very dear to me.”

(Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 12.13-14)

As God talked with Arjuna, so will He talk with you. As He lifted up the spirit and consciousness of Arjuna, so will He uplift you. As he granted Arjuna supreme spiritual vision, so will He confer enlightenment on you.

Paramahansa Yogananda (1893 - 1952)

This wonderful commentary from Yoganandaji brings to mind the expression, "The proof is in the pudding," which has been used in my country since the 1950s and dates back to a proverb from fourteenth century Great Britain: "The proof of the pudding is in the eating."  Wiktionary describes these proverbs like this: "The only real test of something is as what it is intended to be used for."

God Talks With Arjuna - The Bhagavad Gita
It is not the intellectual "walking scriptural dictionary" who knows the wisdom of the prophets; it is rather the man of meditation and application whose scriptural knowledge shines forth every day in his face and his actions.

There are not coincidences:

PURNAMADAH PURNAMIDAM
Om purnam-adah purnam-idam Purnaat purnam-udachyate
Purnasya purnam-aadaaya
Purnam-eva-avashishyate
Om shanti shanti shanti

That is whole; this is whole;
From that whole this whole came;
From that whole, this whole removed,
What remains is whole.
May there be peace, peace, peace.

The supreme personality of Godhead is
perfect and complete. And because He is completely perfect, all emanations from Him,such as this phenomenal world, is perfectly equipped as a complete whole. Whatever is produced of the complete whole is also complete by it self..............
