When you wrote, above, "the whole world is my family i love," it reminded me of something I read just this morning in a book by Thomas Moore, called Care of the Soul: "The word ecology is derived from the Greek word oikos which means 'home.' Ecology is not earth science. It is home science. It has to do with cultivating a sense of home wherever you are, in whatever context. A soulful ecology is rooted in the feeling that this world is our home and that our responsibility to it comes not from obligation nor logic but from true affection."
