Laughter Meditation

Centered Sillyness - Laughing Meditation

Many people might be surprised to think of laughter as a form of meditation. Yet not only is laughing meditation one of the simplest forms of meditation, but also it is a very powerful one. The physical act of laughing is one of the few actions involving the body, emotions, and the soul. When we laugh, we give ourselves over to the immediacy of the present moment. We also are able to momentarily transcend minor physical and… Continue

your goal Sri Aurobindo

If your goal is your media and very small, act anyway, because only with the action they can grow in you.

The yoga we practice is not for ourselves alone, but for the Divine; its aim is to work out the will of the Divine in the world, to effect a spiritual transformation and to bring down a divine nature and a divine life into the mental, vital and physical nature and life of humanity. Its object is not personal Mukti, although Mukti is a… Continue

Experiences of Life Part 6

In my 38 years of frequent and lengthy travelling all over the country I have never been robbed, nor any one has cheated me nor fallen in to bad company. I had to a number of cities and stay in hotels or retiring rooms at railway stations but never once have I strayed into an undesirable hotel. By Undesirable I mean when you are new to city, the Rikshawallahs or autoriskhawallas ( For those in the West who do not understand it is a mode of transport ) they take you to wrong hotels to get more… Continue

Experiences of Life Part 5

I have had many many narrow shaves in my life. Once when I was only 16 I jumped over a wall and landed right in the middle of a wet slippery slush of mud. I skated through it uncontrolled and just stopped midway without losing my balance. How I managed it I do not know. Again when I was in College I got hit by a Cricket Ball right on my mouth. I thought my teeth had loosened up. I got worried a little but fortunately nothing happened. After that I was playing hockey and hardly knew how to hold… Continue

Experiences of Life Part 4

Dear Amit,

I have written most of my Experiences of Life in the Chapters I am posting. Thrice I was instrumental in saving lives of people. This post is one of them. It is HIS wish that I was chosen at that time to save another person and I am blessed for this.

When I grew up to be 14 I had a most unexpected pleasurable moment in my life. I was to go by train from one station to another at 9.30 p.m. in the night. While I was waiting for the Train which was about to… Continue

Experiences of My Life Part 3

During those days I remember women in the neighbourhood, whose husband have gone on a business or official trip, asked my mother to send some male child to sleep in her house as she was lonely. I had to do that duty many a times. In return that lady would cook such nice dishes lovingly and fed me with it. This is love paid in return. They would praise me as also other boys whose duty it was to give company during night. So in this way everyone felt safe and sound due to sharing of love,… Continue

My Personal Experiences of Life

Right from when I could remember and till now I have passed through different phases of life and experienced a lot. Not a non believer in God but never prayed or went to temples and even sometimes if I went to a temple or a church with friends never believed in them as in our family we never believed in Murti Pooja i.e. worshiping the God in Statue God is everywhere I was told and we need not go to a temple or church or any worshipping place to seek HIM. HE can be sought anywhere and you can… Continue

Meaning of OM....

Before the beginning, the Brahman (absolute reality) was one and non-dual. It thought, "I am only one -- may I become many." This caused a vibration which eventually became sound, and this sound was Om. Creation itself was set in motion by the vibration of Om. The closest approach to Brahman is that first sound, Om. Thus, this sacred symbol has become emblematic of Brahman just as images are emblematic of material objects.

The vibration produced by chanting Om in the physical… Continue

LORD VISHNU'S INCARNATIONS

INTRODUCTION

Sutji once reached Naimisharanya in course of his pilgrimage. There he found numerous sages engaged in austerities and penance. All of them were delighted to find Sutji in their midst and considered it as a God sent opportunity to get their doubts related with religious topics cleared. Sage Shaunak was also present there and he asked Sutji --' O revered sage! Who is the creator of this world? Who nurtures it and who annihilates it in the end? How can one realize… Continue
