GURU

Sri Om Jai Om...

Following a Spiritual Path is important and essential for a Spiritual seeker to attain Spiritual Goal i.e. Mukti (Liberation) or God.

Often one seeks a Living Guru, whom one may also call Sat Guru, so that one learns the art and get the right wisdom to achieve God in a particular time frame within this very human life. Who Knows "Kal Ho Na Ho" i.e. Who knows about tomorrow?

Here the most pertinent Question is What is Sadhna (Spiritual Practice)?

All Sadhna relates to taming or controlling one's mind. This is possible with the right intellect or Buddhi and that is why one seeks Gyan or Wisdom from realized Souls called Guru or Sat Guru.

Mind, with 5 Gyan Indiriyas and 5 Karam Indiriyas, is the one which has contact with the out side world and also the world inside us. The mind has a general tendency to know more of the outside world and passes on such thoughts or information inside to Intellect and wants Indiriyas to interact and react on such of the Thoughts with the outside world and gain experience and taste the world.

World is called "Sansar" in Hindi which is changeable and hence called "Mithya" or untrue.

In this context, we must also understand that our human body is also changeable. Body is also a part of this Sansar or World and made of Panch Tatva.

What Sadhna (Spiritual Practice) one must do so that he attains Satvik (True) Gyan of our own Life or Existence and the Atma which is ruling this body?

One has to train the mind to be one (Ekagar) with God since His Chetan Shakti is every where i.e. in the outside world as well as within us i.e. in our Body. Unless the mind is controlled through Gyan/Wisdom it is very difficult to know the real Truth (Atma or God).

In Sadhna one must have a Goal or Lakshya to reach God who is Param Shakti. God is the Goal of a Sadhak or Spiritual Practitioner and this Goal must always be kept in mind by a Sadhak or Spiritual Practitioner.

Sadhna is "Atam Sanyam" i.e. one has to have self realization.

One has to make mind act in a normal and natural manner i.e. to make our mind "Nirmal" without being clever and cunning. That is important and essential to have "Atam Sanyam".

In Sadhna one must practice not to be dependent upon others; be in "Ekant" or aloof, practice Detachment or Vairagya, Determine Goal of Life (Dharna) and Practice Meditation (Dhyan); have noble and Positive Thoughts; do Japa (Naam Simaran), Penance (Tapa); sing glories of God i.e. Bhajan Kirtan; Prayer i.e. interacting with God in Satvik Bhaav and to do Yaga i.e. Satvik and Good Karma for the welfare of all humanity (Sarva Mangal/Sarve Bhavantu Sukhina/Sarvat Ka Bhala).

A Sadhak has to have good set of principles (Niyam) to follow and his Karma (Action) should be according to these principles. Unless one has Principles or Niyams to conduct his life, No Sadhna is successful.

A Sadhak follows Bhakti (surrender to God) and be in Anand (Bliss). He does have communication with God through Prayer and sings glories of God by constant rememberance through Simran (Japa) and Kirtan (singing Bhajans in Group/Satsang).

A Spiritual Practitioner soon becomes a Raj Yogi who rules the Mind through Satvik Buddhi/Intellect. Such a Sadhak or Spiritual Practioner soon attains Samadhi (merging with God)  accomplishing his Goal of Life i.e. God and is called Jeevan Mukt  (one who is Liberated while alive).

Human Life is rarest of rare. Let us understand it and must regularly do Spiritual Practice i.e. Sadhna and attain Godliness in this very life.

May God Bless !!
